Five Free Shield Templates for Cards and Scrapbook Pages
There are five different styles of shields available for you to download and add to your cardmaking and scrapbooking projects. Shields are such versatile shapes and lend themselves to a variety of craft projects. Simply print one of the shield shapes onto cardstock, cut the shield from the page and add a rubber stamp to use the shield as a frame, or go the whole hog and cut the different segments from colored paper and add rubber stamps, hand drawings or even photos to make a more extravagant... embellishment. Of course, you do not need to be limited to just working with paper - why not cut the shapes from felt or other non-fraying fabric and use as a stylish patch.
Each shield is available broken down into pieces, so you can use this as an easy paper piecing pattern. The shield shape in two sizes are available for each, and these can be nested inside each other. There are also an additional four segments, which can be added to the shield shape. An example of the finished shape is shown in the top left hand corner of each template. Of course, you can use as few or as many of the pieces as you require to obtain your desired finished result.
