How to Make a Balloon Sword

    This is a variation on the basic sword balloon that is easy to learn and twist. You’ll find that kids, especially boys, love these swords.

    The main skill is the ability to create a fold twist.

    You'll find that this sword is sturdier than the basic balloon sword.

    Before learning this sword balloon, I highly recommend that you first master the basic sword balloon.

    Materials:
    One 260 Balloon

    Sword Balloon Animal - Inflation

    Sword Balloon Animal - Inflation.

    Inflate the balloon leaving at least a two-inch tip.

    Sword Balloon Animal - Handle.

    Make a basic twist about five-inches from the beginning of the balloon. You will be bending the second segment of the balloon at about the three-inch mark to make a fold twist.

    The first segment will form the handle of the sword.

    Create a fold twist. You have just twisted one of the three "hand guards" for the sword.

    Twist a second fold twist the same size as the first one.

    Sword Balloon Animal - Finish the Balloon

    Twist a third fold twist the same size as the first one.

    Straighten out the hand guards so they appear as those in the picture.

    You’ve twisted a balloon sword.
