PedagoNet
Several options here allow you to create a truly customized puzzle.
The words you enter can be separated by commas, spaces, or line, so it's easy to paste a chunk of words into the site to be used with your puzzle.
The maximum number of rows and columns is 100, and you can change the font size and background color. Another option allows you to pick several random words from your list instead of using all of them.
Another option is the ability to choose the precise way the words are positioned in the puzzle, like forward and backward, diagonal, or up and down. Plus, you can hide the word list from the puzzle.

Super Teacher Worksheets
One last word search maker you may like is from Super Teacher Worksheets. It's easy to set up and the options don't cause any confusion.
Start by choosing a difficulty level to immediately change some of the options, like the maximum word lengths and the grid size. Then pick a title and creator name before you enter the words that should be used in the puzzle.
One option lets you alphabetize the word list. Another adds different worksheet headers to the game, like a name only or a name plus the date or class period.
When finished building the puzzle, you're given a few pages to print off, including the answer key and the game itself.
