    Gather Materials to Sew a Removable Money Pocket For Your Bra

    This pocket makes a safe secure place for you to hide large bills when you are traveling. The removable feature allows you to move the pocket to a different bra when you change your clothes without marring your bra.

    Gather The Materials

    • A 3" by 4" scrap of soft lightweight fabric
    • A 3" piece of 1/4" wide ribbon
    • A small sew-on snap

    Start Sewing

    Clean finish or serge one 4" edge.

    Fold the finished edge in half, right sides together and match all the edges.

    Sew a 1/4" seam on the two un-sewn edges.

    Trim The Seam & Apply a Seam Finish

    Trim the seam and sew a zigzag stitch to enclose the raw edges of the fabric.

    Attach The Ribbon

    Turn the pocket right side out and attach one end of the ribbon on the seam at the top of the pocket. Use a zigzag stitch with a shortened stitch length to achieve a secure hold.

    Sew On The Snap

    Sew one-half of the snap onto the pocket over the area you attached the ribbon to the pocket.

    Place the pocket in the bra cup and bring the ribbon around the bra strap.

    Mark where the ribbon crosses over the snap.

    Turn under the free end of the ribbon to enclose it under the snap marking and sew on the other half of the snap.
