Hawaiian Flowers are so tropical and decadent and remind me of drinks with umbrellas and fruit. This one is stitched in a dark pink, but oranges and yellows or even blues or greens would work. The flower is stitched on 14-count Impressions Arabesques fabric from DMC. Add a saying or frame the flower as is.

Becki's Pillow is a project developed from the simple Daisy Diamond pattern. She created it as a gift for a male family member and chose colors that were masculine to coordinate with an afghan her aunt was making as a gift too.

    Geranium. Design &copy Lesley Shepherd

Use this miniature chart for a flowering geranium for dollhouse scale upholstery, cushions, or a petit point brooch. The design is worked in a continental or tent stitch. A single strand of linen thread was used for everything except the flowers, giving the piece a soft vintage look. It is easy to adapt the colors of both the flowers and the leaves for a range of color schemes.
