Origami Crown Box Tutorial
Learn how to make a cool origami crown which can be used as it is or as a lid that fits onto an origami Masu box! This is a great origami for kids.
This super simple traditional origami model only takes a few minutes to fold and uses just one sheet of square paper. Perfect as a gift box at Christmas, kids birthday parties and even weddings!
If you want to use it as a crown - at the end, don't form the box and instead, round out the base of the crown. You could use paper such as foil paper which keeps its shape, you could also use two-sided paper - paper with different colors on each side, and the center of the crown at the top could be different from the outside.
This tutorial is for the crown only, if you'd like to make a box for this to fit onto, check out the tutorial for the origami masu box here - start with the same size paper, and slightly over-fold the box, or start with paper that's about 5mm smaller than the paper you use for the crown.
Both of these origami lids fit onto a regular masu box.Continue to 2 of 5 below.
