    Making Melt Free Snowmen

No need to melt thinking of kid craft ideas to make this winter season. Building snowmen is a favorite activity for kids in snowy climates, but when it's just too cold to stay outside for long, keep your little ones occupied indoors with this fun activity.

Using mini craft sticks, paint, and festive craft felt, you and your child can make this kid-friendly decoration together in no time! Then use your melt-free snowmen pieces for winter decor or just for some pretend play fun.

    Glue the Popsicle Sticks

First, have children glue their mini popsicle sticks (seven total) together to look like a fence. Place five next to each other, then glue two popsicle sticks across all five to hold it all together. Set aside to let it dry completely. Repeat this step for each mini snowman you want to make.

    Cut the Craft Felt

While the paint is drying, grab your craft felt and scissors. Cut out snowman features like a triangle nose, square eyes and, of course, a hat and scarf! You can use traditional colors, like black for the coal eyes and hat, or you can switch things up and use whatever color felt you like best.

    Finished Mini Popsicle Stick Snowmen

To finish off the mini popsicle stick snowmen, have children glue the craft felt pieces to the popsicle stick piece, as well any other embellishments they see fit. Then let it all dry entirely once more before playing or displaying with pride! You can also add string or magnets to the back of your finished pieces for easy hanging around the house.
