Carly Wickell was a writer for The Spruce Crafts for eleven years covering the subject of jewelry and jewelry making.

Wickell has taken numerous jewelry-making classes and workshops, as well as courses in enameling. She enjoys creating beaded jewelry and has a special interest in vintage jewelry and fashions.

She currently works for the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA).


Wickell received a Bachelor of Science degree in Interiors and Fashion Merchandising with a Minor in Business Administration from East Carolina University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington. Additionally, she studied fashion design at Ohio's Kent State University.

She earned her masters in museum studies from the University of Washington.
