Beth Peterson is a former writer for The Spruce who spent three and a half years writing about pottery and ceramics. Peterson is well versed in creating production pottery on the wheel and specializes in handbuilt ceramic sculpture. She enjoys sharing her love of clay and has taught children and adults beginning and intermediate pottery, including the raku method.
Although Peterson studied studio ceramics at the Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, she also is an author for inspirational and self-help books and has spent a considerable amount of her adult life tending to her disabled sister. Between all that, though, Peterson also teaches mask-making at Inner-City Arts in Los Angeles, California.
Beth has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in studio ceramics from the Edinboro University of Pennsylvania.
