Alistair Boddy-Evans

Alistair Boddy-Evans is a former writer for The Spruce Crafts. He is a Scotland-based artist, a teacher, and an African History scholar with more than 25 years of experience. He works alongside his wife, Marion Boddy-Evans, in their Isle of Sky Art Studio.

Alistair is a writer, artist, historian, secondary-school teacher, and a post-graduate researcher whose work tackles many topics. His writing is referenced in a wide variety of books, research, and journal articles. He creates jewelry and other in his Scottish workshop, the Isle of Skye Art Studio.


Alistair Boddy-Evans earned a Postgraduate Certificate in education from the UCL Institute of Education in London. He also holds a Master of Science degree and a Diploma of the Imperial College London in rock mechanics. Alistair also has a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering with honors from Heriot-Watt University.
