Chelsea Foy has been a contributing to The Spruce since 2017, but has been creating inspiring DIY projects on her blog, Lovely Indeed, for ten years. Over the years, Lovely Indeed has been featured in Better Homes & Gardens, HGTV, Martha Stewart, and more. Through her blog, Chelsea has partnered with leading home and fashion brands like Target, West Elm, Old Navy, and HP.
Mollie Johanson is a professional freelance writer and has been crafting professionally for over 10 years. She is the author of Stitch Love: Sweet Creatures Big & Small, a collection of whimsical embroidery patterns. She is a regular contributor to several popular publications for makers, including Simply Sewing, Mollie Makes, and Australian Homespun. In addition to her published works, Mollie designs and sells embroidery patterns and stitching projects, co-hosts a podcast about crafting and has taught several online embroidery courses. Mollie has her Associate of Applied Science in Desktop Publishing from Elgin Community College.
Caylin Harris is a freelance writer, editor and crafter with over ten years experience in the lifestyle space. Prior to The Spruce, she was the lifestyle editor at Pioneer Woman, and also worked on staff at Good Housekeeping and Parents. As a freelance writer, she has contributed work to House Beautiful, Elle Decor, The Kitchn, and Country Living. She has a B.S. in Magazine Journalism from Syracuse University S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.

Mélanie has 15 years of experience creating, managing, and publishing lifestyle content across platforms. She has worked as a producer and writer for brands including MTV, Vanity Fair, Elle, New York Magazine, The Atlantic, Cosmopolitan, Salon, Esquire, and iHeartRadio.
She earned a B.A. in Political Economy from Georgetown University.
Allison is the editorial director for The Spruce, The Spruce Pets and The Spruce Crafts. She joined the company in 2012.
Previously, she worked as a home and registry editor at Brides.com, where she reported on interior design trends and edited their Webby Award-nominated blog.
She started her career in print media at Condé Nast’s Brides New York magazine, where much of her work focused on fact-checking articles and interviews for accuracy.
She studied at New York University, and graduated with a degree in journalism.
Sami is an editor for The Spruce and The Spruce Pets and joined the company in April 2019.
Before joining Dotdash, Sami worked as senior editor at Swirled, where she led the website’s multi-newsletter strategy and edited lifestyle content.
She first began her career at O, The Oprah Magazine as a web producer.
She studied at Penn State University and graduated with a B.A. in journalism and English literature.
Melissa is an associate editor for The Spruce and The Spruce Crafts. She joined the company in February 2019.
Previously, she worked as the editorial coordinator for College Fashionista at Clique Media Group. There she oversaw the editorial internship program, managed the site’s editorial calendar and posting schedule, and created original graphics for articles.
Her career started in Portland, OR, as an assistant wedding planner for Kelsey Timberlake Events where she ran the blog and designed websites for clients. She has also acted as social media lead for West Elm.
She received her B.S. in journalism from the University of Oregon.
