10-Inch Patchwork Quilt Block Patterns

Create a quilt with one or more of these 10" quilt block patterns.

Ten-inch quilt blocks are usually five patch designs, but the patchwork in some of the blocks has been subdivided to make the layout more intricate. This block size works nicely for all sorts of quilts, from baby quilts and wallhanging to bed quilt projects.

Be sure to have some solid black or navy blue fabric on hand to help a few squares in this design 'drop out' to create more visual interest. The block can be sewn in a theme, too, and you can put strip piecing to work to avoid sewing each square together individually.
